Happy Birthday Madeline

On April 17th our little Madeline turned 2 years old. she is getting so big and learning new things everyday. To date Madeline can count to 10, kinda sing her ABC's, go potty on the toilet whenever she feels like it, etc. She is quite demanding and seems to be used to having all of us give her our undivided attention at all times. Which to be honest is totally fine to me. I love spoiling her rotten and would give her the moon if i could. I know Bri feels the same way but is much more conservative on the checkbook then I am :) Good thing he's a financial planner or we'd be in trouble.

Easter weekend we celebrated Madeline's birthday with a Dora themed celebration. she had so much fun playing her with friends Jack and Addison and was tired after a long day. Here is a link to more pictures from the big day. http://share.shutterfly.com/share/received/welcome.sfly?fid=6ec5238c6f4c1861&sid=0CZsmjZq3bsX1w

Madeline is 22 months old!

For those of you that follow the blog i have been nothing but superb at ignoring my postings. I apologize. For a short synopsis of Madeline's life since the last post she is incredible. She turned 22 months on Tuesday of this week and i cannot believe she will be 2 in April. She talks all the time and is a true red head with the short temper and strong willed manned that comes with it. she loves her television programs on Noggin and switches between Dora and Blues Clues with her favorites. She enjoys playing in her kitchen and loves helping daddy cook dinner at night. Her responsibilities around the house consist of telling us what to watch on TV, feeding the dog and telling us when we need to refill our glasses or plates. She loves to be bossy and tell people when they should say Thank You and is now sleeping in a big girl bed. she is still learning the potty training thing but doing quite well considering we aren't pushing it in the littlest bit yet. She gives kisses out to anyone and everyone and can do butterfly kisses and Eskimo kisses as well. She still has that sensitive skin we've been dealing with since day one but we're learning better methods at keeping the rashes at bay. Right now she is obsessed with having her fingernails and toenails painted and with putting on her own shoes without help from mommy and daddy. She still enjoys reading and has now gotten quite interested in coloring. She is so good with the crayons, she uses one and then knows to put it away before grabbing another. All in all we are enjoying every min of being parents and cannot imagine our lives without our little Maddy. I will try and update again soon but can't make any promises.

Happy Birthday Madeline !!!

On April 17th Miss Madeline celebrated her very first birthday. For her actual birthday she ate macaroni and cheese with her mom and dad and then had a blueberry muffin with a candle on top. We ended the evening by going on a walk that Madeline insisted on walking home the last four blocks of in her tights. She is becoming quite the independent little girl. She insists on walking now instead of being carried which is nice sometimes and inconvenient at other times.

On April 19th we had a birthday celebration with Madeline and there were lots of friends and family over for a cookout and cake. We were worried about the weather but the rain held off until later that night and it ended up being a beautiful day full of sunshine.
Now it's a couple weeks later and Madeline has been continuing to grow and change every single day. She is walking all over, crawling up the stairs (only when Bri and I are present of course) displaying her likes and dislikes when it comes to food, using some sign language to communicate and talking talking talking. Brian and I feel so blessed and have fun every day watching her learn about her world.

11 Months and counting.......

Wow, Madeline will celebrate her 1st birthday in a little under a month. Time sure does fly when you're having fun. She is now taking 4-5 steps at a time but looks like a drunk while she's walking. It's hilarious. And now it's a game of her waiting for us to laugh and clap and she gets such a kick out of it. She is looking forward to the upcoming Tiger's season and still needs to find a baseball cap that doesn't make her look like a boy. She is growing more hair, slowly but surely. She has even worn a barrette a couple times. She LOVES food and pigs out at every sitting. She would eat blueberries until they made her sick if we let her. She even likes sauerkraut, GROSS! It will be nice to cut the formula expense when the doc tells us we can convert over to regular milk and Brian and i can't wait. I have a few pictures to update with from a few weeks ago but will update next week with Easter pictures. Hope everyone is doing well and let's start crossing our fingers here in Michigan to get rid of this snow. I know I'm ready for spring and i hope everyone else is too.
