Madeline's Big Week

Madeline started at the babysitters this week. So far she just sleeps while she's there and eats too. She is getting HUGE! I think she weighs about 2 pounds more this week than she did last week at her doctor's appointment. I had to change over her closet and put away the clothes that are 0-3 months and get out the bigger sizes. Today she wore an outfit that is 3-6 months and it fit her perfectly. Our little girl is getting so many rolls and filling out quite nicely. When we were at the doctors last week they said her height and weight put her in the 75th percentile and her head size was in the 25th. That got me to thinking..... a lot of babies do have big heads and since Maddy's isn't that is the reason hats in her size aren't fitting. Oh well, I love the size of her head and think it's quite perfect, which isn't a surprise because she is entirely perfect in every way.

These boots were made for walking :)

Mommy and Daddy love her double chin :)

God Bless you Madeline!!

This past weekend was Madeline's baptism. She wore a beautiful white dress that we hope to keep and pass down to future generations and a cute little bonnet given to her from Grandma Sandy's friend Pat. She was so peaceful during the ceremony and only got upset when pictures were taking a bit longer than she would have liked outside the church afterwards. Aunt Leigh and Aunt Megan did great at the ceremony and Madeline is a very lucky girl to have them as Godmothers. After the church service everyone came back to our apartment to have a BBQ and then the boys went golfing and the girls had a makeover. It was a great day.

Since it has been so warm out Maddy has been enjoying pool time. She has gotten many stares and remarks from little children as to why she isn't wearing a top. One child said "Oh, no top, must be a boy". This is quite amusing to me and I refuse to give in to societal pressures and put a top on her. She enjoys being partially naked and she is a little girl for heaven's sake.

Madeline's No Hitter!

On Tuesday June 12th Madeline, her mom and her Nana Linda experienced a once in a lifetime moment of watching Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers pitch a no hitter against the Milwaukee Brewers. It was an incredible moment. Madeline stayed awake for the majority of the game and cheered on her Tigers with the rest of us bleacher creechers. She has been spending the week playing with her Nana Linda and now her Grandpa and Grandma Bonsall while mommy has now went back to work. She attended the Wednesday night Tigers game with all the Bonsall's and unfortunately her winning streak was broken. Up until now every sporting event she has attended the home team has won. According to uncle Scott and Grandpa Dave though her winning streak has continued because they were rooting for the the Brewers. Those funny yoopers like all those Wisconsin teams:)
